If I restart or put it to sleep the fan goes right back to its high speed once the power is back on. The only thing that has worked is after booting, is to log into windows then shut it down through the start menu. After that to leave it off for 30 seconds then boot it up again. Once back on its speed is what it used to be and is almost silent.

It sounded like a freaking jet turbine when under heavy load, and i would have to manually undervolt it and set the fan curve higher to keep its temperature under control. After reading this forum for all the solutions, I decided to go with the Noctua NH-U9S cooler and NF-A9 PWM fan as an exhaust fan. Aug 13, 2018 The highest temp the GPU had gotten to was 75 degrees. CPU didn#39;t exceed 55 degrees. VRAM went to around 1.3 GB when under load. The GPU was running at PCI-E x 8. Generally, though, it seemed to be working fine. I had checked GPU-Z more or less between every game I played, and I#39;m pretty sure I did before the game that I had the problem in too.
